Our community has supported SMOOTH operations such as the Senior Dial A Ride through generous donations for over 40 Years. These donations have ranged from a few appreciated dollars to very generous donations of several thousands of dollars. Regardless of the size of the donation, ALL are appreciated greatly by our riders.

While the Senior Dial A Ride fare is just $2 each way, that single trip actually COSTS $21.98 to produce. The cost of the ride is paid for by several sources, to include donations.

As an indication of the value of Donations to our Senior passengers, the following information was obtained during periodic passenger surveys.

51% of passenger trips are for MEDICAL APPOINTMENTS

58% of riders are 75 Years of age and above

43% of passengers state their household income as less than $1,000/month

24% of passengers state they have NO OTHER MEANS OF TRANSPORTATION
